Al-Mahdi Islamic Center offers a conversion (reversion) service where individuals can go through this process. An Imam engages in discussions with them and guides them through the Arabic transliteration of the Shahādah. They then proceed with the English translation and an explanation of the fundamental tenets of faith, which they can choose to embrace.


Shahada ceremonies are usually intimate affairs. They typically occur in a private setting with only a few witnesses present, along with the officiating Imam. However, you may choose to invite your family, friends, and colleagues to join you in celebrating this momentous and life-altering occasion!
اَشْہَدُ اَنْ لَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللّٰہُ وَ حْدَہٗ لَا شَرِیْکَ لَہٗ وَ اَشْھَدُ اَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُہٗ وَ رَسُوْلُہٗ

Arabic Transliteration

Ash-hadu anla ilaha illal-Lahu Wahdahu la Sharika Lahu wa-ash-hadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluhu.

English Translation

“I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, the One and the Only, without any partner; and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger.”
